Beyond the Classroom
We treat physical readiness as part of self-defense — training that builds real confidence, not just a paper permit.
What students say
We don't run formal reviews, but the feedback we hear again and again is consistent — students consistently point to the quality of the training and to Rob's instruction specifically: patient, clear, and focused on making sure everyone actually understands the material, not just gets through the class.

Frequently asked
What do I need to bring to my Initial CCW class?
Any legal firearm you plan to carry, plus eye and ear protection — earplugs and sound-dampening earmuffs together work best. You'll also need enough ammunition to complete live-fire qualification; the required round count depends on the county, generally ranging from 18 to 24 rounds, with a passing score of 70%.
How long is a California CCW permit valid?
California CCW permits are currently valid for 2 years. Starting in 2027, that renewal period extends to 3 years.
Do you offer private or small-group lessons?
Yes — see our Private Lessons options for one-on-one, two-person, and three-person sessions.
