Safety tips
Treat every firearm as loaded
Always assume a firearm is loaded until you've personally verified it's clear — and even then, keep handling it as though it's loaded.
Mind your muzzle and trigger
Keep the muzzle pointed in a safe direction and your finger off the trigger until your sights are on target and you've decided to shoot.
Store it securely
Use a locked safe or approved lock box, store ammunition appropriately, and keep firearms out of reach of children and unauthorized users.

Answered Questions
Can I take a class if I've never fired a gun?
Absolutely. Our Firearms for Beginners and Basic Pistol courses are built for first-timers, taught step by step in a calm, question-friendly environment.
What should I bring to the Non-Lethal Self-Defense Class?
Just yourself and a willingness to learn — it's an introduction to non-lethal options, how they work, and when they're appropriate. Contact us if you have specific gear you'd like to ask about.
How long is a California CCW permit valid?
California CCW permits are currently valid for 2 years. Starting in 2027, that renewal period extends to 3 years.
